What is Swimlog: Pool Tracker?

Built around structured pool practice

Swimlog is for competitive, college, masters and committed swimmers who want to preserve what they swam. It keeps the structure of a session: repetitions, distances, strokes, send-offs, rest, equipment, effort and notes. You can type coach shorthand, build and edit sets, or scan a coach’s whiteboard into a workout draft.

Every capture opens for review. Check the details, correct the interpretation and log only what you actually swam. A photo or line of shorthand is a starting point for the record, not a reason to save a session you have not checked.

Training, racing and your lane

The logbook keeps complete workouts searchable by title, stroke, note or date. Season views help you follow volume, active days, consistency and stroke mix. Racing keeps upcoming meets, events, results and personal bests close to the training that led to them.

Create or join a team to share training through a chronological Team Log, shared volume, reactions and comments. Core logging is local-first, with cloud sync for your account. Swimlog supports SCY, SCM and LCM pools on iPhone running iOS 18 or later.

Where Apple Health fits

Swimlog imports compatible Apple Watch and other HealthKit pool swims through Apple Health for 25 yd, 25 m and 50 m pools. Access is optional and read-only: workout distance, duration, laps, strokes and timing, with no heart rate, calories, routes or open-water workouts and no writes to Apple Health.

Who should choose something else?

Swimlog focuses on keeping a swimmer’s practice and race record. It is not an open-water GPS tracker, a triathlon multi-sport log or a coach’s roster-management tool. It is also not a coaching-plan library: bring the session from your coach, club or own training plan.
