Choose by the job you need done
If you arrived comparing Swimlog and MySwimPro, start with the job you want an app to do. Do you need a training programme to follow, or do you already have sessions and want a record of them? Those questions lead to different choices. Swimlog’s focus is the second: capturing the work and making it readable across your season.
A swimmer with coached club practices may not need another plan. They may need to remember the main set, their lane’s send-off, equipment changes and how the session felt. Recording those details can make a workout meaningful months after the distance total has faded from memory.
Bring your workout; keep its structure
Type sets in coach shorthand or scan the whiteboard. Swimlog opens an editable draft so you can check repetitions, distances, strokes and intervals, then adjust the record to match what you swam. Keep equipment, effort, notes and repetition times with the workout instead of reducing practice to one number.
Swimlog is not a coaching-plan library and does not prescribe a progressive training programme. The practice remains yours to choose with your coach or training group. Draft review is about accurate capture, not an assessment of whether a session is suitable for you.
Follow the season you actually swam
Search your training history and open complete set lists. Follow volume, active days, stroke mix and consistency. Record meets, race results and personal bests alongside the training log. Team features let swimmers share practice in a chronological log with volume, reactions and comments.
Swimlog: Pool Tracker is developed by Edward Baltaza for iPhone on iOS 18 or later, under App Store id 6775411816. It supports SCY, SCM and LCM courses, saves core logging locally and syncs your account when connected. Compatible Apple Health pool-swim imports can complement deliberate set capture.

Can I use Swimlog with my club’s training plan?
Yes. Log the practice your coach or club provides, review the draft and save the sets you actually swam.
Does Swimlog automatically count laps on a watch?
Swimlog is an iPhone training log. It can import compatible Apple Watch pool swims through Apple Health, but it is not a watch-based lap counter.
